Our History
It is our goal to handcraft every pizza with the highest quality ingredients from our family to yours.
In 1986 John and Linda Bogdan bought a fledgling pizza place in Lake Station, Indiana called J&J’s Pizza Shack. John was working at a local steel mill and Linda was a housewife raising four teenagers and working part time at the pizza place.
Soon after, all the kids were working at the restaurant as well. In 1993, a second location in Portage, IN was opened followed by a third in 1997 in Hobart, IN. 1998 saw the opening of J&J’s in Demotte, IN; 1999 in Valparaiso, IN. John and Linda retired from the pizza business in 2000; leaving each of their children to run their own J&J Pizza Shack with their families.
